70 degrees North - Adventure skiing in Øksfjord Norway.

The buzz has been around, but very few have ever skied the wild mountains in Øksfjord Norway. Due to the fact that this place is the last mountain range before the Northpole on the Norwegian mainland, the climate is tough and constantly changing. This gives loads of snow and very often powder despite we ski down to sea level.

Here the locals for years has been focused on fishery and not skiing. This is about to change as Base Camp Finmark is on the way to establish the first lodge in the area.

The best female freeriders has undertaken a adventure tour to explore Northern Norway together with Whiteblue Adventure. The objective of the trip was to ski Narvik, Lofoten, Lyngen and Øksfjord. As we move by using Hurtigruten this is possible without spending 2 weeks.

Ane Enderud decided to spend this spring in Norway together with Grete Eliassen and Karina Hollekim. During this stay the girls has claimed first decents that will be possible to view in the coming Chaoz Production movie.

Here's some pictures from the area.

PS! If you plan a trip Whiteblue Adventure will include Øksfjord from 2012.
